This is my neighborhood gas station, just a few blocks from home. I stop here regularly when I find myself on empty and I'm trying to get across town to work. This morning I was harried, and I stopped in to fill up. The check tire pressure light had been glowing in my face for a few days, and I had simply not had the time or energy to do anything about it. While I filled up my car, the kindest service guy came out and aired up my tires, gratis. I think my jaw hit the pavement. I've never reviewed a service station before, but this was a bright spot in my morning that is worth sharing. Gone are the days of the full-service gas stations of my childhood, and this was an out-of-the-ordinary act of kindness that impressed me. I thanked him, and he said, "Hey, it's what we're here for. It's my pleasure." This Chevron's gas prices are a little higher than at a few other nearby gas stations, but I will be returning to the Bel-Meade Chevron, and I hope you will, too.
